OUR VILLAGE
The village of Lover is in the county of Wiltshire nestled within the New Forest National Park. Like many villages it has seen its post office, shop, pub and former primary school close over time. Despite this, the village community is passionate about ensuring this romantic village continues to thrive in modern times and are taking action to ensure new facilities are made available for young children, families, professionals and retired people within the parish.
THE CHARITY
The Lover Community Trust charity registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation in November 2015. It was created by the villagers of Lover to purchase and transform the former primary school in to a local community asset. The centre will be at the heart of the village and enjoyed by the whole Parish providing a preschool for 2-4 year old children, sport, recreation and leisure facilities.
JOIN US
The charity is managed by a Board of Trustees that is responsible for all aspects of management and supported by working groups responsible for advising on particular aspects of the trust.
