The charity is now working with Diocese complete the purchase of the primary school buildings and this is hoped to be completed in 2016. The charity is also out a building assessment to decide how best to move forward for community use once the building is owned by the charity.
Whilst the sale of the property goes through, the charity has been busy generating public awareness for our campaign.
During the Valentine period, the national and local press covered our story with Spire FM, Salisbury Journal, ITV Meridian, The Daily Mail, Telegraph, The Times, Guardian, Independent and Radio 5 live all covering the story. We’ve got the full coverage here.
As well as generating much needed public support, brands have also pledged their support including Farrow & Ball, Abel & Cole and Punch Taverns.
So far we have raised £70,545 (without gift aid) – enough to purchase the property and start building a nest egg for the renovation work. The remaining amount will be raised through grants, personal donations and commercial brand support.
If you or the company you work for would like to support our charity you can find out more here.
